winter boot experience

A word of experience for everyone (I work in a shoe shop) - when you buy boots for the winter, as opposed to feel-good sexy boots, make sure that you try them on with socks and that you can still wiggle your toes. If you can't wiggle them, your feet will end up being colder than normal.
Leather uppers are better than synthetic as they are best for wet winter weather.
Keep heels to a minimum for practical purposes.
DO pay for the Scotch Guard protection spray - it really does make the leather water repellent and will stay looking better for longer.
DO re-apply polish regularly (i.e. every other (wet) wear)
Don't get leather soles - you will need the grip!
Any more questions please just ask!
